ZeeVee Inc. develops HD video distribution products using broadcast and cable technologies. ZeeVee is also the creator of Zinc software, delivering unlimited internet video on demand.

Our History

ZeeVee was conceived in 2006 by technology experts Vic Odryna, Jeremy Greene, Steve Metzger and Andy Marcuvitz. The founders envisioned an experience that would combine the comfort and superior viewing technology of the home entertainment system with the virtually unlimited content sources and applications available on the Internet and computer. They saw a disconnect between the fast adoption of HDTVs and the ability to access the exploding amount of high quality video content on the Internet. In order to connect these two worlds they conceived of localcasting, a breakthrough method for broadcasting anything a computer can do using the home’s existing cable wiring and the TV tuners already imbedded in HDTVs. They discovered that localcasting, branded “ZvCast™” by ZeeVee, had many benefits including the ability to broadcast the same great HD resolution displayed by the computer, the ability to reach all the HDTVs in the house with just one box, and the elimination of the need for a receiving device near the TV. In a breathtaking development phase, they hired leading engineers in TV and broadcast technologies and harnessed the latest technology for digital signal processing. ZeeVee launched ZvBox in May 2008 and the new Zv “super-channel” was born, finally freeing the TV completely and connecting the worlds of home entertainment, the computer, and the Internet.
