Like ZvRemote, the optional wireless ZvKeyboard gives you whole-house control of your computer. Its compact design combines high-quality laptop keys, multimedia controls, an integrated trackball, a scroll wheel, and long-range operation, making it easy to control your computer from the couch or the bedroom. And it communicates with your existing ZvReceiver, so there are no new connections or software required at your computer. | The ZvReceiver is compatible with industry standard Human Input Device (HID) protocols, which means that your computer does not need any additional software to allow the ZvKeyboard to control the computer. This also means that any application that is designed to be compatible with these standards will "just work". Just plug the ZvReceiver into a spare USB port on your computer. The computer will then automatically configure the device for use. |
| ZvKeyboards are "paired" with ZvReceivers through a simple process. Simply push the Connect button on the ZvReceiver, and then press the Pairing button under the keyboard. Both devices will blink their lights when they are paired. From that point forward, that ZvKeyboard will only send commands through that ZvReceiver. Any older parings are forgotten. Each ZvReceiver can be paired with up to eight different ZvRemotes or ZvKeyboards simultaneously for operation from multiple rooms. |
